Mierea de Rapita si minunatele ei proprietati terapeutice
Mierea de albine a fost prima substanta dulce folosita de om, fiind pretuita de toate popoarele antice. Farmacia albinelor este cea mai veche sursa de sanatate. Gustul si virtutile terapeutice ale mierii de albine sunt cunoscute de mii de ani.

Mierea este buna aproape pentru orice afectiune, chiar si in regim profilactic, prevenind imbolnavirile de orice fel. Produsele stupului nu au efecte secundare si nu creeaza dependenta. Vindeca, hranesc, energizeaza, vitaminizeaza si imunizeaza. Dintre toate produsele apicole, cea mai apreciata si cu beneficiile cele mai cunoscute este mierea de albine.
Mierea de rapita este obtinuta dintr-o planta oleaginoasa numita rapita. Rapita este planta erbacee anuala, cultivata pentru semintele ei bogate in ulei. Planta contine proteine, hidrati de carbon, substante minerale (calciu, fier, fosfor, potasiu, sodiu), celuloza, glucide, grasimi, rezine, mucilagii si vitamine (A, B1, B2, niacina, C, betacaroten).
Compozitia semintelor plantei confera uleiului de rapita calitati cicatrizante, dezinfectante, depurative, diuretice, emoliente, expectorante, vitaminizante si nutritive.
Mierea se obtine in luna mai daca însamântarea a fost efectuata în toamna anului precedent.
Mierea de rapita cristalizeaza foarte repede, uneori chiar si în fagure datorita procentului de glucoza continut. Odata cristalizata în fagure aceasta un va mai putea fi extrasa. Este o miere cu o textura extrem de fina, cu o coloratie destul de slaba, galbena – deschis, undeva la  (sub 35mm pe scara Pfund), si cu un miros foarte placut. În schimb gustul mierii de rapita este delicios, datorita si faptului ca un este atât de dulce ca alte sortimente.Este o miere tartinabila, ce poate fi usor confundata cu serbetul.
În aceasta miere de rapita, glucoza domina fructosa de aici si rapiditatea cu care se cristalizeaza, în magazine în prezent putând fi achizitionata doar sub forma unei creme.
Mierea de rapita are proprietati curative extraordinare. Este recomandata în bolile ce afecteaza rinichii, dar si în cazul osteoporozei deoarece uleiul de rapita contine si Q3, care este extrem de necesar pentru oase. Ajuta si la refacerea si mentinerea elasticitatii peretilor vasculari, si la scaderea nivelului de colesterol rau iar consumul regulat de miere de rapita protejeaza ficatul, splina si pancreasul de diverse boli, are puternica actiune antibacteriana.

S-a demonstrat puterea sa bactericida fata de numerosi germeni, între care streptococul, stafilococul, enterococul, dar si helicobacter pylori.
Actioneaza ca un agent terapeutic antiseptic pentru tratamentul ulcerelor, arsurilor si ranilor.
Mult mai buna ca cea poliflora, salcâm, tei, ea are mai multe proprietati, iar în tratamentele cosmetice face minuni. Are un continut ridicat de vitamina E, ale carei calitati în lupta fata de îmbatrânirea pielii sunt recunoscute.
În concluzie mierea de rapita este des folosita pentru tratarea diferitelor afectiuni si prevenirea altora cum ar fi:

  • alimentatia dietetica a copiilor
  • tratamentul bronsitelor cronice, în special cele alergice (aerosoli cu miere)
  • adjuvant in terapia cancerului
  • tratamentul artrozelor reactive (tratament asociat cu veninul de albine, aplicat local, în cadrul unor sedinte de fizioterapie)
  • afectiuni cardiace
  • afectiuni reumatismale
  • boli digestive, în tratarea carora se asociaza cu propolisul (2-5%)
  • afectiuni hepatice
  • insomnii
  • afectiuni ale cailor respiratorii
  • senilitate
